$40,000 was awarded to C.A.R.E. ( Center for Abuse, and Rape Emergencies of Charlotte County) to employ a full time salaried Staff Attorney trained in the dynamics of domestic violence, sexual assault, and stalking, providing legal assistance for eligible victims for civil proceedings directly related to the client's experience of violence.
$60,000 was awarded to the Foundation for Lee County Public Schools for a two-year anti-bullying project in collaboration with the Kleist Health Education Center and the Lee County School District targeting students in grades k-12.2011 Capacity Grants
